Lake Station, IN. – One person was killed in a fiery car crash on Monday afternoon in Lake Station.
According to Indiana State Police, the accident happened around 4 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80/94 near the Interstate 65 interchange.
A semi-truck was traveling eastbound when it reportedly struck the median and overturned. The semi-truck caught fire after the collision.
The driver was found deceased inside the vehicle once the fire was extinguished.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office did not disclose the name of the deceased, pending notification of the next of kin.
