Police said the man was struck by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene
Kelso, WA. – A 47-year-old man was killed Friday night after being hit by an accused DUI driver in Kelso, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 7:20 p.m. on October 10 on South Kelso Drive near Alma Drive, also to the east of an Interstate 5 overpass.
Police said the man was struck by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver, a 45-year-old, was arrested and booked into the Cowlitz County Jail on charges of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, and knowingly possessing a controlled substance.
The police are investigating the accident.
