Hillsborough County, FL. – A man was killed in a car crash in Plant City on Saturday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 10:15 a.m. on Interstate 4 near Branch Forbes Road.
A 54-year-old Apopka man was driving a Kia SUV west on I-4 when he lost control and struck a guardrail.
The impact sent the car off the roadway and down an embankment, where it overturned in the tree line.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.
More details about the accident were not released.
