Las Vegas, NV. – A schoolgirl who was struck by a car while riding a bicycle in Las Vegas on Monday afternoon has died.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on West Tropical Parkway, near West Ann Road and North Jones Boulevard.
A 12-year-old girl was riding a bicycle westbound on Tropical Parkway when she was struck by a school bus. The impact of the collision projected the girl into an SUV.
The girl was transported to an area hospital, where she later died.
No one on the bus was injured, and impairment was not suspected.
