Police said the SUV was travelling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into a light pole and slammed into a building that houses the campaign office of a Dolton Trustee, a candidate for the Cook County Board.

Dolton, IL. – Three persons were hospitalized after a speeding SUV slammed into a building in Dolton early Sunday morning, according to the Dolton Fire Department officials.
The accident occurred at about 2:20 a.m. on October 5, at 14200 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Police said the SUV was travelling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into a light pole and slammed into a building that houses the campaign office of a Dolton Trustee, a candidate for the Cook County Board.
The crash tore a hole in the wall. Authorities said the building was not at risk of collapsing.
Three persons were transported to an area hospital and are expected to get better.
Police are yet to determine whether the driver will face any charges.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
