Wheeling, IL. – A 72-year-old Geneva man was killed after a pedestrian accident on Monday evening in north suburban Wheeling.
According to the Wheeling Police Department, the accident happened a while before 6:25 p.m. on September 29, in the 1000 block of Valley Stream Drive.
Police said the man was struck by a 2018 Ford Explorer in unclear circumstances.
The man was rushed to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with critical injuries. He died at about 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30.
No other information concerning the collision was provided.
An investigation by the Wheeling Police Department Traffic Unit is underway.
