The driver of the suspect vehicle was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries
Los Lunas, N.M. – A traffic collision involving a New Mexico State Police vehicle occurred on Monday morning in Los Lunas.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. on El Cerro Loop, near Ruiz Lane.
An officer was attempting to stop an eastbound vehicle when the driver swerved and collided head-on with the officer.
Three other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The driver of the suspect vehicle was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The officer was evaluated at the scene and released.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
