A Frankfort man who was a passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene

Carroll County, IN. – A man was killed in a car crash early Monday morning in Carroll County.
The fatal crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on US 421, south of County Road 400 South, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reported.
A man was driving a 2000 Mitsubishi sedan northbound on US 421 when he lost control and crashed into a tree off the side of the road.
A Frankfort man who was a passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette before being transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
More details about the accident were not released.
Indiana State Police are investigating the accident.
