A 19-year-old Sarasota man was heading eastbound in a sedan when he hit the elderly man who was crossing lanes from south to north.
Sarasota, FL. – A 76-year-old man was killed after being struck by a car Thursday morning in Sarasota, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 7:01 a.m. on September 25, on Bee Ridge Road.
A 19-year-old Sarasota man was heading eastbound in a sedan when he hit the elderly man who was crossing lanes from south to north.
The man was declared dead at the scene.
The driver was not hurt in the collision.
An investigation is underway.
