Police said a Subaru Outback was heading westbound when it swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a Toyota sedan.

St. Petersburg, FL. – A woman was killed after a head-on collision Wednesday evening in St. Petersburg, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

The accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on September 25, in the 7800 block of 38th Avenue North.

Police said a Subaru Outback was heading westbound when it swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a Toyota sedan.

The Toyota driver and a female passenger were severely injured. The two were rushed to the hospital.

The passenger succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The Subaru driver was also treated for injuries. He was arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter and DUI causing severe bodily injury.
