Troopers said a Ford was traveling eastbound when it veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a westbound Dodge Ram.
Ocala, FL. – One person was killed, and another was hurt following a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning in Ocala, according to the Ocala Police Department.
The accident occurred on September 24 near the Dunkin’ Donuts at 2400 E. Silver Springs Boulevard.
Troopers said a Ford was traveling eastbound when it veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a westbound Dodge Ram.
The Ford driver was declared dead at the scene. The other driver was hospitalized with potentially severe injuries.
Troopers closed all westbound lanes on E. Silver Springs Boulevard at Northeast 25th Avenue to give way to an on-scene investigation.
Drivers were advised to expect significant delays in the area for several hours.
An investigation is underway.
