Everett, WA – A man was killed early Wednesday morning after his scooter was struck by a box truck near Everett, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The deadly accident happened around 3:30 a.m. on September 24 on Interstate 5 near milepost 189.
WSP said a 63-year-old man from Everett had dismounted from his 2020 Vespa scooter on the left shoulder of southbound I-5 when he was struck by a 2007 Isuzu NQR in the lane number 3.
Veland was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the accident.
No additional information was available.
The WSP is investigating the accident.
