Madison County, IL. – Two people were killed after a fiery collision on Friday night near Pontoon Beach in Madison County, according to the Pontoon Beach Police Department.
The accident happened on September 19, on Interstate 255 and Route 157.
Police said a vehicle collided for unknown reasons pinning two people inside the car. The car was engulfed in flames after the collision.
Fire crews from Mitchell and Long Lake responded to the scene.
The two persons were killed in the collision.
Also at the scene of the crash was the Illinois State Police.
An investigation is underway.
