Police said the woman was heading eastbound when she drove off the road at a curve and crashed into a tree.
DeWitt County Crash, IL. – A 45-year-old Clinton woman was killed after a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday night in the Village of Kenney in DeWitt County.
According to Illinois State Police, the collision occurred on Route 54 near 300 East Road at about 10:15 p.m. on September 14.
Police said the woman was heading eastbound when she drove off the road at a curve and crashed into a tree.
She was thrown from her car. She sustained multiple blunt force injuries and was declared dead at the crash site.
All the lanes were closed briefly to give way to investigation. The roadway has since reopened.
The DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Illinois State Police at the scene.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
