Police said the moped driver was hit by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
Alton, IL. – A moped driver was killed after a traffic collision on Wednesday morning in Alton, according to the Alton Police Department.
The deadly crash happened a while before 5:45 a.m. on September 17, on Illinois Route 140, just east of Fosterburg Road.
Police said the moped driver was hit by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
The moped operator was rushed to St. Louis hospital where they died.
The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
