Belvidere, IL. – The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly single-vehicle collision that killed a 23-year-old man from Belvidere early Thursday in Belvidere.
The deadly crash happened at about 4:16 a.m. on September 18, on Shaw Road near Shaw Mills Lane.
Deputies said the man was heading southbound in a 2005 Lexus LS430 when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
The Belvidere man and the only occupant of his vehicle was declared dead at the crash site.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
An investigation is underway.
