Police said they noticed a black Mazda SUV speeding and swerving into other lanes. When police attempted to investigate, the SUV crashed into a green Pontiac sedan at an intersection.

Englewood, IL. – Two people were critically injured after a serious crash early Monday in the Englewood neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The collision occurred a while before 5 a.m. on September 15, in the 6300 block of South Morgan Street.
Police said they noticed a black Mazda SUV speeding and swerving into other lanes. When police attempted to investigate, the SUV crashed into a green Pontiac sedan at an intersection.
The driver of the SUV attempted to flee but was arrested by officers.
The two drivers were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries.
Both drivers were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they remain in critical condition.
An investigation by the Chicago Police Department’s Major Accidents Unit is underway.
