Morrow County, OR – One person was killed on Friday in a two-vehicle collision in Morrow County, according to the police.
The fatal collision happened around 11:43 p.m. on September 12 on Interstate 84 on the milepost 159 on-ramp.
Police said Austin Scott Yager, 38, of Bend, was driving a Volkswagen Jetta eastbound when the car suffered a mechanical failure on the on-ramp and stopped in the roadway with no visible lights.
Adonis Marcial, 33, of Miami (FL), was driving a Freightliner eastbound when he entered the on-ramp and struck the Volkswagen.
Yager was outside the vehicle at the time of the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Marcial was uninjured in the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
