Phoenix, AZ – One person was injured Sunday night in a collision involving a light rail in central Phoenix, according to the authorities.
The collision was reported around 7:20 p.m. on September 14 at the intersection of 18th and Washington streets.
Police said the collision involved the light rail and a semi-truck.
Both vehicles were engulfed in flames after the collision.
All occupants were able to make it out of the light rail and truck safely.
The semi-truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident closed the intersection.
The accident remains under investigation.
