Charlotte Bumbalough Dies After Car Crash at Illinois Route 9 and 14th Avenue

Pekin, IL. – 16-year-old Charlotte Bumbalough has been identified as a teenager killed after a traffic collision on Saturday morning in Pekin, according to the Peoria County Coroner’s Office.

The accident happened at 8:00 a.m. on September 13, at Illinois Route and 14th Avenue.

Authorities confirmed Bumbalough was a passenger in a sport utility pickup truck that crashed into a pickup truck and a motorhome in unclear circumstances.

Bumbalough was declared dead at the crash site.

A 45-year-old woman injured in the crash was taken to OSF HealthCare St. Francis Medical Center where she died at 2:29 p.m. on Sunday September 14.

A third person was hospitalized following the crash.

No other details regarding this crash were provided.

An investigation is underway.
