The woman underwent an emergency C-section, but the baby died two days later

Indianapolis, IN. – A child was killed in a car crash early Wednesday morning in Indianapolis.
According to local police, the accident happened around 3 a.m. on Interstate 65 near the 113.9-mile marker.
A 2008 Jeep SUV was stopped in the middle of the freeway for unknown reasons and was hit by a 2020 Chevrolet SUV.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 27-year-old woman, was 8.5 months pregnant at the time of the crash. The woman underwent an emergency C-section, but the baby died two days later.
The driver of the Jeep, later identified as Oshe Watkins, fled the scene of the crash on foot but was later located and taken into custody.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
