Muncie, IN. – At least one person was killed in a collision involving a motorcycle and a trash truck on Tuesday morning in Randolph County.

According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal accident happened on State Road 32 near County Road 950 West at around 9:59 a.m.

A 2024 Peterbilt trash truck was traveling west on SR 32 and was turning south onto CR 950 West when it struck a 1981 Yamaha XJ6 motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
