Washington County, IN. – Authorities have identified the victims of a fatal motorcycle accident that happened in Washington County on Thursday night.
According to local police, the accident happened around 8:13 p.m. on North State Road 39 near State Road 256.
34-year-old David Anthony Michael Stitzel, of Seymour, was riding a black 2019 Harley Davidson southbound on State Road 39 when he crashed into a guardrail.
Stitzel was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
A passenger on the motorcycle, Jessica Nicole Sue Pelley, 31, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
