According to the Chicago Police, the teen pedestrian was walking in the area when they were hit by an unknown vehicle.

Chicago, IL. – The Chicago Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian collision that left a 19-year-old pedestrian with severe injuries on Sunday morning in Chicago’s Southwest Side.
The accident happened at around 1:20 a.m. on August 31, in the 7600-block of South Cicero Avenue near Midway airport.
According to the Chicago Police, the teen pedestrian was walking in the area when they were hit by an unknown vehicle.
The teen sustained severe injuries due to the collision.
The involved driver fled the scene after the crash.
An investigation is underway.
