The fatal accident occurred just after 9:15 p.m. on August 30 in the 2700 block of South Wilmot Road.

Tucson, AZ – A man was killed on Saturday in a pedestrian accident in Tucson, according to the police.
The fatal accident occurred just after 9:15 p.m. on August 30 in the 2700 block of South Wilmot Road.
Police said a white 2007 BMW 328 was traveling northbound in the median lane when it struck 34-year-old Richard Daniel Townsend, who was crossing the roadway, outside of a marked crosswalk.
Townsend was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male driver of the BMW and the female passenger were uninjured in the accident.
The BMW driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. He was not impaired at the time of the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
