Chicago, IL. – A 21-year-old man was critically injured following a hit-and-run pedestrian accident early Sunday morning in the University Village neighborhood in Chicago, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The accident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on August 31, in the 1300- block of South Halsted Street.

Police said a Chevy driver struck the man in unclear circumstances.

The man was rushed to Stroger Hospital for treatment of critical injuries sustained in the collision.

The Chevy driver parked the vehicle and fled the scene.

No one has been arrested in connection to the incident.
