Police said a silver Chevrolet sedan and a black Ford SUV were involved in the collision.

Loves Park, IL. – At least one person was injured after a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday night in Loves Park, according to Loves Park Police.
The accident happened a while around 6:58 p.m. on August 27 at N. 2nd Street and River Lane.
Police said a silver Chevrolet sedan and a black Ford SUV were involved in the collision.
The sedan sustained extensive front end damage while the SUV’s front driver’s side wheel was missing. One of the vehicles had halted at the junction and was rear-ended by the other. Air bags were deployed in the two cars.
Three people from the two vehicles sustained severe injuries and were hospitalized. All were listed in a stable condition.
The two drivers stayed at the crash site and cooperated with authorities.
No charges have been filed.
An investigation is underway.
