1 Killed, 1 Critically Injured in Marion County Head-On Crash

Marion County, OR – One person was killed and another was critically injured early Tuesday morning in a wrong-way accident in Marion County, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 4:26 a.m. on August 26 on Interstate 5 near milepost 267.

Police said an Infiniti G35 was heading northbound in the southbound lanes when it crashed head-on into a southbound Honda Civic.

The Infiniti driver, K’Rondre’ Demarcus Minor, 20, of Gresham, was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The Honda driver, Desmond Antwan Diamond, 22, of Saint Helens, was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.

The accident closed the highway for about five hours.

The police are investigating the accident.
