Harold Schaedler Identified as Pedestrian Killed in Accident on Illinois Route 157 and Foley Drive in Cahokia Heights

Harold Schaedler Dies After Pedestrian Crash on Illinois Route 157 and Foley Drive

Cahokia Heights, IL. – 49-year-old Harold Schaedler identified as the pedestrian killed in a traffic collision on Saturday night in Cahokia Heights, according to the St. Clair County Coroner’s Office.

The accident happened at around 10:50 p.m. on August 23, on Illinois Route 157, just south of Foley Drive.

Responding authorities found Schaedler lying in the roadway with severe injuries. 

He was declared dead at 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, August 24.

Authorities said he died because of blunt force trauma.

The involved driver fled the scene and has not been found.

An investigation is underway.
