Wood River, IL. – A 68-year-old bicyclist was injured after a traffic collision on Tuesday afternoon in Wood River, according to the Wood River Fire Department.
The accident happened on August 26 on Wesley Drive, in front of the Wood River Walmart.
Authorities confirmed the bicyclist was riding in the area when they were hit by a driver turning left into the Wood River entrance.
The cyclist sustained head injuries and was alert and conscious.
It was not immediately known if the motorist was cited.
