Franklin County, WA – One person was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Franklin County on Sunday, according to Washington State Patrol.

The WSP identified the deceased man as Mark Wallum, 76, of Vancouver.

The deadly crash happened on August 24 in the area of US 395 and Crestloch Road, just outside of Pasco.

According to WSP, a 2025 Chevrolet Trax was traveling southbound on US 395. As the Trax was turning left onto Crestloch Road, it crossed into the northbound lanes and was struck by a northbound 2003 Toyota Rav4.

A passenger in the Trax, later identified as Wallum, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Trax, a 73-year-old woman, and another passenger, an 18-year-old from Vancouver, were hospitalized following the crash.

The second driver, a 48-year-old Deer Park man, was also hospitalized in unknown condition.

Authorities said all four people were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Drugs and/or alcohol were not a factor in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
