The accident happened around 6:18 p.m. on August 23 on State Route 20 near milepost 219 west of Okanogan.

Okanogan County, WA – A 49-year-old man was critically injured Saturday evening in a car accident in Okanogan County, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
The accident happened around 6:18 p.m. on August 23 on State Route 20 near milepost 219 west of Okanogan.
WSP said the man lost control of his vehicle, hit a tree, and came to a stop blocking the oncoming lane.
The man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Drugs or alcohol were believed to have been factors in the accident.
The WSP is investigating the accident.
