Barry Hostler Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Hwy 95 in Malheur County

Police said Barry Hostler, 48, of Truckee, CA, was driving a Subaru Legacy northbound when he rear-ended a northbound Case International 7220 tractor that was traveling at slow speeds.

Malheur County, OR – A man was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Malheur County, according to the Oregon State Police.

The fatal collision occurred around 7:52 a.m. on August 21 on Highway 95 near milepost 47.

Police said Barry Thomas Hostler, 48, of Truckee, CA, was driving a Subaru Legacy northbound when he rear-ended a northbound Case International 7220 tractor that was traveling at slow speeds.

Hostler was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Case International, Jesse Dean White, 67, of Jordan Valley, was uninjured in the accident.

The accident closed the highway for about three hours.

The authorities are investigating the accident.
