According to the Indiana State Police, the accident happened on State Road 59.

Samuel Chambers was walking in the area when he was struck by a car operated by Courtney Withers.

Chambers was found unresponsive in a ditch and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Withers failed field sobriety tests and admitted to drinking earlier.

She was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
