Authorities said a white SUV was traveling northbound on Halsted when it struck the woman as she was crossing the street.

Chicago, IL. – A 22-year-old woman was injured after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident early Saturday in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood Chicago’s South Side, according to the Chicago Police.
The accident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. on August 16, in the 8100 block of South Halsted Street.
Authorities said a white SUV was traveling northbound on Halsted when it struck the woman as she was crossing the street.
The involved motorist fled the crash site after the accident.
The woman sustained a shoulder injury and cuts to her body. She was transported to Christ Hospital in a stable condition.
No one has been arrested so far.
An investigation is underway.
