Police said the man and the boy were just from Green Briar Park when they were struck by a gray vehicle.

Chicago, IL. – A 4-year-old boy and a 24-year-old man were injured in a pedestrian accident on Sunday night in Chicago, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The accident happened at about 9:40 p.m. on August 17, in the 2700 block of West Peterson Avenue, just across Washtenaw Avenue.
Police said the man and the boy were just from Green Briar Park when they were struck by a gray vehicle.
The involved driver alighted from his vehicle and ran from the scene on foot.
The man and the boy were rushed to area hospitals where they were listed in stable condition.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
An investigation is underway.
