Elkhart County, IN. – 35-year-old James Thoman has been identified as the man who died in a collision involving a moped on Saturday morning in Elkhart County.

According to Elkhart police, the accident happened on County Road Four at around 2:30 a.m.

Two people were on a moped when it was rear-ended by a car driven by 23-year-old Joseph Bailey.

The car dragged the moped down the road before taking off from the scene.

Thoman and his passenger were transported to Elkhart General Hospital, where Thoman later died.

More details about the accident were not released.
