Alassane Tchandikou Dies After Chicago Pedestrian Accident on Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago

Police said Tchandikou had just alighted from his car when he was hit by a passing white Kia.

Chicago, IL. – 47-year-old Alassane Tchandikou of Hinsdale has been identified as the pedestrian killed in a traffic collision earlier this month in Chicago, according to the Illinois State Police.

The accident occurred at around 1:46 a.m. on August 6, on southbound Dan Ryan Expressway near 95th Street.

Police said Tchandikou had just alighted from his car when he was hit by a passing white Kia.

He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he died.

The Kia driver, identified as 34-year-old Marques D. Worrell of Chicago, was later arrested and charged with one felony count of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol causing death.

No additional details concerning this crash were released.

An investigation is underway.
