Deschutes County, OR – One person was killed and several others were injured Thursday night in a two-vehicle collision in Deschutes County, according to the Oregon State Police.

The fatal collision happened around 9:49 p.m. on August 14 on Highway 97 near milepost 145.

Police said a silver Honda Accord, driven by Felicia Devin Nicholson, 33, of Bend, was traveling northbound on the highway when it drifted across the centerline, for an unknown reason, and struck a southbound silver Honda Odyssey, driven by Earl Leone Christison IV, 46, of Oregon City.

Nicholson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Christison was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Erin Ruth Christison, 45, of Oregon City who was a passenger in the Odyssey was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Four female juvenile passengers, ages 17, 14, 11, and 9, in the Odyssey were also taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The collision closed the highway for about three hours.

The police are investigating the accident.
