Tucson, AZ – One person was killed on Monday in a motorcycle accident in Tucson, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The deadly accident happened around 7:00 a.m. on August 10 in the 4100 block of East Valencia Road near Alvernon.
Police said 64-year-old James Richard Forshey was riding a motorcycle westbound while a vehicle was traveling in the left turn lane, and was attempting to make a left-hand turn into a private driveway.
As the vehicle began to turn, it collided with the motorcycle.
Forshey was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The vehicle’s failure to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left-hand turn is the main factor in the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
