Pierce County, WA. – One person was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident near Clear Lake in Pierce County on Monday evening.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the accident happened around 12:09 p.m. on State Route 161 near Clear Lake Road East.
A motorcycle was traveling north on the highway when it was hit by a southbound truck that was making a left turn onto Clear Lake Road.
The motorcyclist was seriously injured and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
