The fatal accident happened around 2:00 a.m. on August 10 in the 100 block of West Roger Road.

Tucson, AZ – One person was killed and another was injured early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle accident in Tucson, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The fatal accident happened around 2:00 a.m. on August 10 in the 100 block of West Roger Road.
Police said a 26-year-old man was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe at a high rate of speed when he lost control, hit a curb, drove across the roadway, and hit a wall, before coming to a rest on top of a parked vehicle in a residential yard.
The passenger in the Tahoe, 24-year-old Inez Marie Romero, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tahoe driver was taken to Banner University Medical Center with minor injuries. It was determined that he was impaired at the time of the accident.
Speeding and impairment were factors in the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
