Police said one person was hit by a freight train in unclear circumstances.

Springfield, IL. – One person was injured after a train accident on Friday in Springfield, according to the Springfield Fire Department.
The accident happened on August 8, at North Grand Avenue and 19th Street.
Police said one person was hit by a freight train in unclear circumstances.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Their current condition is not known.
10th Street railroad tracks were blocked for around 30 to 45 minutes by the train which was stopped for investigation.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
