Chicago, IL. – A man was killed after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Wednesday night in Rogers Park on Chicago’s North Side, according to Chicago police.

The accident happened at around 7:30 p.m. on August 8, in the 1400-block of West Estes Avenue.

Police confirmed a 46-year-old man was hit by a dark gray 2018 Buick Encore in unclear circumstance.

The man sustained head injuries and was declared dead at the crash site.

The Buick driver fled the scene after the collision.

The Buick has an Illinois licence plate reading CQ19696.
