Fort Wayne, IN. – One person was killed in a collision involving a tanker truck in Fort Wayne on Thursday morning.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, the accident happened around 7:10 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 69, between the U.S. 24 West /Jefferson Boulevard and State Road 14 West/Illinois Road interchanges.

A Ford Expedition SUV, a Ford F150 pickup truck, and a tanker truck were involved in the collision.

A passenger in the SUV was killed in the accident.

Six other people from the SUV were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.
