Douglas County, OR – One person was killed last Thursday in a bicycle accident in Douglas County near Sutherlin, according to the OSP.

The deadly accident occurred around 2:27 a.m. on July 31 on Interstate 5 near milepost 133.

OSP said Thomas Lee Sodders, 66, of Roseburg, was driving a black Toyota Tundra southbound on the highway when he struck Justin Jay Little, 42, of Cypress (CA), who was riding a bicycle in the fast lane.

Little was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sodders sustained minor injuries.

A passenger in the Tundra, Christine Ann Graham, 62, of Roseburg, was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The accident closed the highway for about four hours.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
