A passenger in the Jeep was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital with minor injuries

Elkhart County, IN. – A 64-year-old Nappanee man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon in Elkhart County.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 3 p.m. on U.S. 20, east of County Road 13.
A 2017 Volvo semi-truck driven by a Chicago man rear-ended a 2004 Jeep Liberty. The impact of the collision caused the Jeep to crash into the back of a 2024 Ford F-550.
Jerry Lamb of Nappanee was driving the Jeep and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
A passenger in the Jeep was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The drivers of the Ford F-550 and the semi were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
