The fatal collision occurred around 3:00 a.m. on July 27 on State Route 410 near Valley Avenue.

Sumner, WA – Two people were killed early Sunday morning in a wrong-way collision in Sumner, according to the WSP.
The fatal collision occurred around 3:00 a.m. on July 27 on State Route 410 near Valley Avenue.
WSP said a driver was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of SR 167. The driver then exited onto westbound SR 410 and traveled eastbound in the westbound lanes before crashing head-on into another vehicle.
The wrong-way driver was taken to a local hospital and was arrested for DUI Vehicular Homicide.
Two people in the other vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.
The collision closed the westbound lanes of SR 410 for several hours.
The WSP is investigating the accident.
