Phoenix, AZ – A man in a wheelchair was killed Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle in South Phoenix, according to the police.
The deadly accident occurred around 8:43 p.m. on July 24 on Seventh Avenue just south of the Salt River Bridge.
Police said the man was on a motorized wheelchair and was on the roadway when he was struck by a northbound car.
The man was rushed to the hospital where he later died. His name has not been released.
The car driver remained at the scene and was not impaired.
The police are investigating the accident.
