Linn County, OR – A person was killed Sunday evening in a two-vehicle collision in Linn County near Harrisburg, according to the Oregon State Police.

The fatal collision took place around 9:13 p.m. on July 20 on Highway 99E at the intersection of Cartney Drive.

Police said a green Toyota Tacoma was traveling westbound on the highway when it ran a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by a southbound white Freightliner semi-truck and trailer.

The Tacoma driver, Laura Marie Howard, 48, of Corvallis, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Freightliner, Barret E. Morrison, 31, of McMinnville, and the passenger, Eric Sean Fisher, 56, of Newberg, were uninjured in the collision.

No further details were available. The authorities are investigating the accident.
